political history of France
The French policy is linked strongly with the German policy. For years these two countries have established a cooperation, which today is based on a lengthy historical analysis of both countries. There was war and peace declarations, there were several leaders who dedicated themselves, either for or against the German-French cooperation. But one thing is fact: a positive attitude to the German-French cooperation, can in no case be prejudicial, since the two countries as the center of Europe, playing domestic politics, foreign policy and also a very important role. After the French Revolution, which took place in 1789 under Louis XIV, Germany took the example of the French principles of liberty, equality and fraternity, and also tried to internalize these values and transmitted to the people.
When Napoleon, however, ten years later tried to seize power through a state rich in itself and it runs through successfully, tipping the good intentions and it comes to the Battle of Leipzig, which is far from proving to be a good cooperation between Germany and France. It is the first world war, which destroyed much, in both countries. But then you try Gustav Stresemann and Aristide Briand, the French minister to stabilize the relationship and create a united Europe. For their good communication and cooperation and for their commitment for the restructuring of the Versailles Treaty, the two even get the Nobel Peace Prize. But after the Second World War, the confidence of the French towards Germany has repeatedly weakened considerably. The countries are coming only in 1963 by the Treaty of Elysee closer again. Today, relations are good. On television, in education as well as in politics and the economy, the countries are trying through their cooperation to achieve better goals! |
